Invitation to submit abstract to the special session (OS10) at the
Western Pacific Geophysical Meeting in Taipei, Taiwan (June 22-25, 2010).

Session name: Sediment Transport and Accumulation under Normal and
Extreme Conditions
Conveners: James Liu, Chuck Nittrouer, Saulwood Lin, and Shu Gao

Description: Asian continental margins encompass some of the most active
and diverse sediment dispersal systems in the world in which sediment
fluxes and accumulation rates are high. Each dispersal system plays a
unique role along the sediment transport pathway from continental or
island terrestrial sources to the continental-margin sink on different
time and space scales. This session focuses on sediment transport and
accumulation under normal environmental conditions and extreme events
such as typhoons, earthquakes, and tsunamis. We invite contributions
from theoretical, observational, and modeling aspects of the research.

DEADLINE OF SUBMISSION: FEB. 25 (http://www.agu.org/meetings/wp10/)

Sincerely,
James Liu
