• The RCL Initiative brought together scientists from a number of disciplines to solve common problems, bridging the land-ocean boundary. The 2009 RCL Synthesis and New Perspectives meeting aims to maintain these strong ties to integrate results from the maturing RCL Initiative, and to focus future research initiatives.

  Each half-day session will be introduced by 1-2 keynote presentations that introduce themes and summarize results to date. Additional oral presentations will be chosen to catalyze discussions at the end of each session. All participants are invited to bring posters. This organization provides flexibility, and enables the conveners to showcase early career scientists.
